Fair Isle

Here's a Fair Isle Chart I worked up for an all-over design. I intend to use it in a child's sweater eventually... Its a repeat of 11 stsches. I hope you like it and will let me know if you use it.

Here's another, closer look at Nancy's shawl. I never did
write up the pattern for this, though I did have
sveral requests.

New Shawl

My friend, Nancy Raises Llamas and
she gave me 13 lbs of their fleece so as a
thank you, I made her this shawl. Its simple and easy but really went over
very well. Even her husband loved it.

This is a Book mark I knitted out of two strands
Embroidery floss on size 0000 needles. when finished
it was about 7 inches long I'm thinking about doing
a bookmark from size 100 sewing thread on the same
needles. I'm just waiting for a stitch pattern to
strike me.

This is the second place table centre. I think the design is prettier but I had to delete two repeats of the pattern in order to get it to lay flat. I think it probably could have been blocked better. That is my weakest link... 'cuz I hate doing it!

You can see both of my pieces. here I was floored to find out that I had taken both grand champion and second place in the knitting catagory at my county fair.

Finally, I have gotten some pix up of the grand champion doily. I knit it from some two ply linen, about size 40 and size 2 needls. I just want to say thanks to Nurhanne for the pattern.

This is a lace weight shawl I designed (sort of) and knitted for a friend in the order of the Eastern Star. She had gotten a grand appointment and I wanted to give her something extra
special.
